The premier classification of the Grand American Rolex Series.
We are currently under
construction of the first chassis' to be prepared for development and
testing before making the cars available to customers late in 2007. We
chose to use the 2007 season to design and develop the car to the impending
2008 rule changes for all DP Constructors to modify their current bodywork
designs. This is the first chance for all constructors to revisit
their initial design since the inception of the rules in 2002. It will
likely be the last until 2012 as will the addition of any new constructors
beyond Sabre.
All Sabre projects are designed with the latest tools to take advantage
of automated manufacturing processes available from a select list of
manufacturing partners. By the use of advanced 3D CAD modeling design,
every piece of the project can be developed for fit, kinematics and
structural integrity before producing the first physical parts which will be
tested as well to verify the design through destructive testing analysis.
The design of the body panels will also follow the same design principles
as do the mechanical pieces. Included with the typical structural
analysis will be the additional tool of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
to verify the aero and thermal properties of the bodywork and the ability to
keep the cockpit comfortable for the drivers.
Another Sabre principle will be to provide customer service next to none
for our customers. A part of that service will be ongoing design and
development within the rules and approval process to provide our customers
their best chance for success. We recognize our success is directly
tied to theirs.
